Malawi Lawn tennis governing body has in recent years tried to develop new talent by providing equipment and training instructors to teach the game from basic level so that the game should evolve to have many participants across the country.
Though the game has been played in the country for years, its growth has been slow in other areas static. The country has not produced any world class talent worth to boast about or attain any medal from major competitions like Olympics in its 47 years of independence from Britain.
